After a long gap of six days, finally, rains lashed Mumbai city on Sunday. As it was a weekend, Mumbaikars were not affected. However, as per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai may witness heavy rainfall which will also bring in high tides. The IMD officials have asked fisherman not to venture in the sea.

A few days ago, the IMD officials had declared that there would be heavy rainfall on June 16 and June 17, however, the city witnessed moderate rainfall.  

On Sunday, areas such as Dadar, Matunga, Sion and Kurla witnessed moderate rainfall. Along with this, in Jogeshwari, a wall collapsed on six cars and a bike, no casualties were reported.
