The weather in Mumbai continues to be wet and humid. Earlier on, IMD had issued an orange alert for Mumbai, Thane and Palghar for Monday and Tuesday. The IMD warned of very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall along the west coast of Maharashtra and the southern states on Monday.
It continued to rain on Monday night and even on Tuesday morning. There were warning sounded for heavy rainfall during the night.

Monsoon had made a beeline for Mumbai on June 14. The earlier predictions had suggested that the monsoon will arrive in Mumbai by June 11.
On Tuesday morning, there were reports of rain and local trains running late from various parts of the city. As per IMD, the monsoon is active on the west coast of the city on Tuesday morning.

IMD also shared that in the last 12 hours, some of the areas around Andheri had received more than 70mm of rain.

Skymet had also predicted that rain activity will pick up Monday onwards. It also went on to note that Santacruz has recorded 37mm rain in the last 24 hours while Colaba observatory has recorded 53mm of rain. Mahesh Palawat of Skymet also went on to note that, the on and off showers around Mumbai will keep the temperature of the city in the comfortable zone.
