According to Pradeep Mhaske of Praja Foundation, in 2017 and 2016, the air quality of 134 and 177 days was 'moderate'. Amidst the growing pollution and industrialisation, the air quality has been decreasing substantially.

Another notable issue that was raised from the RTI report was that in the year 2016, 81,555 complaints were registered in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). In 2017 and 2018, 92,329 and 1,16,658 complaints were lodged respectively with the complaint about water issues being the most prominent one.
