The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has implemented various measures to prevent air pollution. Along with this, on the direction of Thane Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar, Thane Municipal Corporation helpline (8657887101) has been started to register air pollution complaints.
The Thane Municipal Corporation has appealed to the citizens to register a complaint along with a photograph on the WhatsApp number 8657887101 regarding the air pollution in the Thane Municipal area.

Open burning of waste, dust/fume pollution in the area during construction, uncovered transportation of construction waste/debris (C & D Waste) on roads, dust pollution due to road works, dumping of construction waste, dust/fume pollution from hotel-bakeries , strong smell of chemicals, illegal parking of vehicles, etc. Citizens can register complaints about air pollution on the helpline through WhatsApp along with a photograph.
The Thane Municipal Corporation administration will verify the complaint and take necessary action. It also includes penal action. Complaints regarding firecrackers will be sent to the police for action.
