There would be a total lunar eclipse on January 31, 2018 as the moon will appear larger, brighter and slightly reddish when a total lunar eclipse occurs during a blue moon and a supermoon.

Many have already begun calling it a 'super blue blood moon' eclipse. It would be a collision of multiple lunar events as there would be a total lunar eclipse which will happen when the earth passes between the sun and moon blocking sunlight from reaching the moon.

The lunar eclipse will occur at the same time as a blue moon. The last time such a thing occurred was 35 years back and the exact date was December 30, 1982.

In India, it would start at 6:21 pm on January 31, 2018. It would be visible till 7:37 pm Indian Standard Time (IST). So bring the cameras out and try and get your best click of the 'Super Blue Blood Moon'.
