Blitzkrieg, the annual media festival, organized by the Mass Media Department of KC College will be held on the 28th and 29th of September. The theme for the festival this year is iconic movie characters from both Hollywood and Bollywood. Every year, Blitzkrieg has seen participation from over 30 colleges from across the city and this year is no exception.
Being a media festival, Blitzkrieg has always aspired to bring to it eminent personalities from different fields. This year, some of the highly anticipated Blitzkrieg guests are Mr. Ramesh Sippy, Mr. Rahul Bose and many others.
In previous years, the festival has been graced with the presence of people like Arnab Goswami, Kavita Seth, Anu Malik, Ganesh Acharya, Makarand Deshpande and many others.
Amidst the frenzy of preparations for the festival, on September 24, a Volleyball event was organized. The Blind Volleyball Event where the net was covered with black cloth- saw enthusiastic participation from 10 teams.
The two-day extravaganza promises to have both unique and entertaining events for everyone. Alongside events like Fashion Show, Band and Dance, Blitzkrieg also hosts Investigative Journalism, Film, Advertising and RJ events amongst others.
Principal, Dr. Hemlata Bagla said, "Every year the students put up an excellent and energetic show with a great crowd and eminent personalities. We are looking forward to Blitzkrieg 2017."
Ms. Manjula Srinivas, the Head of the Mass Media Department said, "Blitzkrieg has an incredible legacy of stimulating creativity and bringing together almost all mass media students of the city under roof."
