Mumbai - A trend of flying lamps is noted in Mumbai's sky since a few years. These lights can be dangerous as they might cause fire and they can be a threat to the security of the city too, feels cheif fire office P S Rahangdale. Hense he has written a letter to the Police commisoner urging him to ban those flying lamps. He has also suggested that Police should take action against those who fly them and also on those who are selling them during Diwali festival.

Meanwhile, many fire incidents have been reported in the last three years in Mumbai during Diwali time.
