The festival of colours was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the city. Several groups used this occasion to highlight social issues and create awareness.

At the BDD chawl, Worli, families of policemen created a 51 ft tall installation. MNS burned duplicate CD's as part of Holi celebrations at Dadar.

Various parts of Prabhadevi and Worli Koliwada celebrated Holi in the traditional manner.


Students at the Ambedkar Hostel celebrated the festival with natural colours.

Yuva Adhar Foundation celebrated a waterless Holi with natural colours with their 'Save Water' campaign. They also held awareness drives to curb noise pollution during festivals.

All in all, this Holi was safe, eco-friendly and waterless, thus showing Mumbaikars resolve to use festivities to come together for social causes.
