53 members of Siddhartha Nagar Ganesh Mandal in Ghatkopar hardly knew that their act of bursting fire crackers could affect them seriously. The incident occurred on Monday night when the residents of Siddartha Mandal celebrated with crackers and bid farewell to Bappa, and the act affected the residents living nearby.
The next morning, i.e. on Tuesday, the residents complained of irritation in eyes, and with the same concern, they were admitted to Sant Muktabai Hospital. The patients were then discharged after conducting a primary treatment.
The incident took place at Bhatwadi’s Siddartha Nagar in Ghatkopar where the mandal burst many fire crackers which polluted the air and affected the residents - Dr. Sanjaykumar Dolas, Medical Superintendent, Sant Muktabai Hospital
