Shiv Sahyadri Foundation carried out a shobha yatra which was inaugurated by deputy mayor Hemangi Worlikar. On the completion of eight years, the foundation had called upon a Sai Ichha Bhajan Mandal who then performed various bhajans at Worli.
The shobha yatra began from Jambori Maidan and passed through all BDD chawls. Women donned traditional nine yards sarees and participated in lezim as well, which is a folk dance form of Maharashtra.
Along with the procession, Shiv Sahyadri Awards Ceremony 2017 was also organised where a police officer and President Awardee 2016 Ramesh Shinde was honoured with the award. Also, 19 year old Sayali Maharav was honoured with Shiv Sahyadri Award for successfully scaling Everest Base Camp.
