The nine-day Navratri festival will come to an end today on Tuesday, October 8 with the immersion of goddess laxmi and some will celebrate it with ‘Ravan dahan’. The Ramleela Prachar Samiti in Malad will set up a 35ft Raavan on fire at 7:00 PM with over 5000 spectators witnessing it.

Organiser Devkinandan Jindal stated that the programme begins with Ramleela and concludes with Bharat milap and Ram Tilak upon which Ravan is set on fire with marks as the symbol that good triumphs over evil. 

This Navratri witnessed several people dancing at the beats of Garba and popular places like Radio Club, Kalakendra, NSCI, Jio Garden etc. Durga pooja pandals were even set up at places like Dadar, Juhu and Santacruz.
