1441 Pizzeria Launches Its 10th Outlet In Mumbai

With the aim of introducing wood-fired pizzas in India similar to the ones made in Italy at an affordable rate, Mumbai-based entrepreneur Krishna Gupta founded 1441 Pizzeria in 2015. Interestingly, it is named 1441 as Naples in Italy has a longitude and latitude of 14 degrees north and 41 degrees east.

Earlier this month, 1441 Pizzeria opened its tenth store in Mumbai at Vile Parle. Their curator, Chef Renato Viola from Italy ensures that he brings the authentic taste of wood-fired pizza from Italy to Mumbai. Moreover, customers are even allowed to make their own pizza. 

We tried the iconic Krish's pizza, jalapeno poppers, garlic bread, 5 cheese pizza, cheese dough balls followed by Nutella pizza, tiramisu and chocolate mousse for desserts.

Our personal recommendation would be Krish's Pizza, 5 cheese pizza, tiramisu and chocolate mousse. 

Notably, 1441 Pizzeria organises 'Cheese Tease Fest' annually which boasts a wide menu of scrumptiousness pizzas. At this fest you get to binge onto nine types of gourmet pizzas like Mac n Cheese Pizza, Goat Cheese Pizza, Burrata Pizza, Gouda Cheese Pizza alongside brand new appetizers like Arancini, Calzone, Fresh Mozzarella and Tomato Sandwich, Bruschetta and Hot Potato Salad. This menu is exclusively curated for the Cheese Tease Fest and only lasts till the fest goes on. In 2019, the fest was held from October 15-30.
