  • Sweet Potato: One of the richest natural sources of beta-carotene, a plant-based compound that is converted to vitamin A in our body. Vitamin A is critical to a healthy immune system, and low blood levels have been linked to reduced immunity.
  • Garlic: Adds zinc to food. It helps to resist or destroy viruses and other microorganisms.
  • Ginger: Contains gingerol and rich antioxidant that enhances the immune response.
  • Carrots: Both vitamins A and C found in carrot juice act as antioxidants and protect immune cells from free radical damage
  • Spinach: Rich in vitamin C and also packed with numerous antioxidants and beta carotene, which may both increase the infection-fighting ability of our immune systems.
  • Yoghurt: Is an excellent probiotic containing live bacteria. Yoghurt inhibits a range of pathogenic bacteria and yeasts in the gut.
