Brazil and FC Barcelona legend, Ronaldinho, is going to be in the city this Friday to make an announcement for the second edition of 'Premier Futsal' which started in India last year.

He played for Goa last term but unfortunately competed in just two games as he had to go back to Brazil for the Paralympics games as he was the ambassador.

However, Ronaldinho being Ronaldinho, scored five goals and dazzled the crowd with his skills.

Currently, he is in Pakistan and is promoting the sport there. Nicolas Anelka, David James and Robert Pires accompanied him on his recent Karachi visit. Pakistan cricket’s national team captain was present at the hockey stadium where this match took place on Saturday.

Ronaldinho widely regarded as the most skilful player to play football held a legendary status both at country and club level. He did play last year in Mumbai and many football enthusiasts flocked to watch the most flamboyant player ever. Seeing Ronaldinho would have been a dream for most Indians a few years ago.

The Premier Futsal believes in bringing out the best homegrown talent. India is currently ranked 96th in the international futsal football rankings and recently broke into top 100. Futsal, unlike traditional football, is a different ball game. With no offside rules, a 20-minute half and unlimited substitutions make futsal interesting.
