MDFA beat School Games Federation of India team 3-2 at the RCF grounds to win the Oorja CAPF U 19 football cup.

Karen Pais of MDFA scored twice in the first half and then completed a hat-trick to take her team to victory. But SGFI fought back through Shruti Laxman and Mamta Acharya with two goals but that was not enough as MDFA took the crown.

In the clash for the third place, PDFA beat Football Leaders Academy 11-0. The Pune team just bulldozed their opponents right from the word go and ended up with a record 11-0 victory.

The Central Armed Police force had jointly organised the U 19 tournament OORJA under the aegis of the All India Police Sports Control Board. The tournament was inaugurated by the Hon Governor of Maharashtra Shri C Vidyasagar Rao on the 2nd May 2017.

In all 16 teams- 8 boys and 8 girls will be participating, these teams are from Maharashtra, Goa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Diu and Daman and they will play under the chairmanship of IG Western Sector, Mumbai Mr Satish Khandare.
