Powered by Rahul Mejiyater’s hat-trick Mangesh Sports Academy stormed to a comfortable 5-1 win against Ravens FC, Yari Road in a Third Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Thursday. Dharmesh Gohil netted the other two goals to complete Mangesh Academy’s big win while Irafan Ansari netted the lone goal for the losers.
Earlier, Ace Sports Academy got the better of Azad Nagar Utsav Samiti by a 4-1 margin. Sahil Tambotkar netted a brace of goals while Anand Mavalee and Sanket Chandlekar scored one each for the winners while Aakash Malusare got the consolation goal.
In the first match of the day, Sameer Bhanji scored the decisive winner as Rock FC got the better of Teresarians SC 1-0.
Third Div: Mangesh Sports Academy 5 (Rahul Mejiyater 3, Dharmesh Gohil 2) beat Ravens FC, Yari Road 1 (Irafan Ansari).
