On Monday, Maharashtra reported 2,432 new COVID-19 cases which are acclaimed to be the least every day count since February 8, highlighted a report by the PTI. With 32 fatalities also being reported, the infection number is now at 65,41,762, whilst the toll is 1,38,902, stated a health department official according to the report.

With 2,432 new coronavirus infections, this is said to be the lowest since February 8 where 2,216 cases were logged.

Whilst comparing the figures of Monday to that of Sunday, the statistics looked positive on Monday, since on the day prior, 3,206 cases and 36 casualties were reported. The report also elucidated that based on the information provided by the official, 2,895 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours and recovery numbers surged to 63,62,248. With this, the state has 37,036 active cases.

The report further went on to elaborate that 2,57,144 people are in-home quarantine, whilst 1,517 are in institutional quarantine. The official added that the state’s recovery rate is 97.26% with the fatality rate being 2.12%, mentioned the narrative.

The official said that the aggregate number of tests conducted went to 5,82,86,036 from which 1,28,036 were studied in the past 24 hours. Additionally, in the state, nine districts that are from the hinterland and four municipal corporations which are from urban areas didn’t report any COVID-19 cases, stated the official, based on the account.
