A total of 377 patients tested positive for COVID-19 in the Greater Mumbai area, based on the statistics released by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). 334 patients on the other hand, who were positive, recovered and were subsequently discharged. With this, the number of progressive total active patients is 4702.

On Monday, 7 people lost their lives to the coronavirus, 5 of whom had comorbidities. Whilst 4 were male and 3 were female, one death was between the age group of 40 and 60 and the remaining six deaths were over the age of 60. The total test done stood at 30692.
The recovery rate of the city is at 97% with the overall growth rate of COVID-19 cases between September 20 and 26 is 0.06%. Through these updates, the doubling rate of the island city is 1189 days.
In accordance with the containment measures undertaken on September 26, there are no active containment zones in the city. The number of active sealed buildings, however, is at 52. Contact tracing has formed an integral part of the civic authority’s solution to curtailing the impact of the pandemic. In regards to it, the high-risk contact tracing undertaken in the last 24 hours is 2,356.
