On September 20, 2021, 419 total positive coronavirus patients were registered in the Greater Mumbai area according to the data proclaimed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Additionally, 447 patients who had tested positive, recovered and were discharged.

The total test conducted was 31860, with 5 covid deaths also being reported. Out of these 5, 3 had comorbidities. Similarly, 4 of them were above the age of 60, whilst one was between 40-60 years of age. Of the total 5 deaths reported, 2 were male and 3 were female.

Mumbai has a robust recovery rate of 97%, according to the statistics, and the overall growth rate of covid cases in the city between September 13 and 19 is 0.06%. With this, the doubling rate is 1194 days.

In addition to this, according to the containment steps taken as of September 19, there aren’t any active containment zones in the city. The active sealed buildings, however, is at 41. Apart from this, the high-risk contact tracing performed in the last 24 hours is at 2,008.

In other developments, India will recommence the export of its surplus covid-19 vaccinations starting next month, stated accounts. This will occur through the government’s “Vaccine Maitri” initiative that is set to begin from October 2021.
