Navi Mumbai reported 48 COVID-19 cases on Friday, January 29 talking the tally up to 52,906. While 50,030 people have made a complete recovery from this disease, two deaths have been reported and the death toll now stands at 1,085. At present, 791 patients are undergoing treatment in Navi Mumbai. While the recovery rate is at 96 per cent.

On Friday, seven new cases were found in Belapur, 10 in Nerul, five in Vashi, six in Turbhe, five in Koparkhairane, nine in Ghansoli, five in Airoli and one from Digha.

While, the recovered patients are 20 from Belapur, eight from Nerul, four from Turbhe, six from Koparkhairane, three from Ghansoli, 26 from Airoli and one from Digha.

On Friday, January 29, Maharashtra recorded 2,771 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus. This propelled the state's COVID-19 tally to 20,21,184. Currently, there are 43,147 active cases in the state. With 2,613 COVID-19 patients discharged in the day, the number of recovered soared to 19,25,800.

More than 56 people from the state have lost their lives to this disease in the last 24 hours while the total has now mounted to 51,000. While 1,95,127 persons are under home quarantine, 2,771 others have been admitted to institutional quarantine centres. The COVID-19 recovery rate and fatality rate in the state stand at 95.28 per cent, and 2.52 per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, India reported 13,083 new cases, 14,808 recoveries and 137 deaths taking the tally up to 1,07,33,131 on Friday, January 29. According to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in total 1,04,09,160 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,54,147 in the country. At present, there are 1,69,824 active cases. According to the ICMR, 19,58,37,408 samples have been tested up to January 26. So far, 35,00,027 healthcare workers have been vaccinated in the country.
