All efforts are being made to curb the epidemic of winter fever and dengue in the state. However, due to intermittent rains and increasing temperature, a large number of winter fever and dengue patients have been detected in just 10 days. During the 10 days from September 28 to October 7, 625 cases of winter fever and 845 cases of dengue have been detected.


Due to intermittent heavy rains and severe heat since September, there has been an increase in the number of cold and fever patients in the state in the last few days. It is clear from the statistics released by the health department of the state government that the number of winter fever and dengue patients is more. According to this data, 625 winter fever patients have been found in the state in 10 days from September 28 to October 7. Maximum 273 winter fever patients have been detected in Mumbai. Under that, 134 patients have been found in Gadchiroli and 29 in Thane. But during this period, not a single patient died due to winter fever. So far 15,682 winter fever patients have been found in the state.

Like winter fever, the number of dengue patients has also increased significantly. 845 dengue cases have been detected in the state in these seven days. In this, a maximum of 278 patients have been reported in Mumbai, followed by 50 in Nashik, 42 patients have been reported in Kolhapur, 18 in Palghar, 16 in Kalyan and 11 in Gadchiroli. So far, 14,439 dengue cases have been found in the state.


The number of chikungunya patients continues to increase

There has been a sudden increase in chikungunya patients in the state in September. The number of chikungunya patients is increasing. In the 10 days from September 28 to October 7, 434 chikungunya cases have been detected in the state. Therefore, an increase in chikungunya patients along with winter fever, dengue was also observed in the beginning of October. In September, 1061 patients were found in the state. Since January, 3,259 cases of Chikungunya have been found in the state. 227 patients have been found in Pune, more patients have been found in the areas of Yerwada, Nagar Road, Ghole Road. In the inspection conducted at this place, 138 people have been given notice and 41,700 rupees have been recovered through penal action.
