To provide immediate medical treatment to railway passengers at railway stations, 1 Rupee Clinic service was started at Central and Harbor Railway stations. Till date, this clinic has been shown to be highly resistant to the opposition and has completed a year's journey. On May 10, 2017, the first 1 Rupee Clinic was introduced at Ghatkopar station on Central Railway.
Travelling daily, many passengers face injuries in the local trains or at railway stations. For this reason, the 1 Rupee Clinic was started in Ghatkopar, Dadar, Wadala, Matunga and Kurla in Mumbai, for the purpose of immediate treatment of passengers. So far, many patients have been benefitted by the 1 Rupee Clinic.
So far, 50 thousand people have been treated by the services of the clinic across 12 stations. Also, the clinic has provided health check-ups and medicines at a very low cost to the people of Mumbai. In addition, many activities, camps have been initiated by the clinic.

Along with immediate treatment, the clinic has successfully delivered babies for four women.
So far, more than 50,000 patients have been treated through a 1 Rupee clinic.
The clinic also facilitated the benefits of medical services to the entire family of railway passengers with the ‘Golden Membership Card’ scheme. The service has been operative since January 1 this year and costs only ₹100 per year.
They have treated many patients in conditions such as train accidents, maternity care, heart attack patients, and blood pressure patients. What is really noteworthy is that in the last 8 months, the patients have claimed to have saved ₹2 crore due to the clinic. More than 500 patients who have been depressed, have visited the psychiatrists at the clinic.
Despite it's beyond belief services, many political parties have tried putting political pressure to shut the clinic down.
