Dahisar - When Dilip Sampat (53) was declared brain dead, his family went into shock. But the family members rallied enough to decide to help others who are in need of organ donation. The family decided to donate his kidneys and liver. “I got a call saying my father met with an accident and so I rushed to the Jogeshwari hospital. Doctors there told us that they could not do a CT scan and so we shifted him to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. But when we reached there, doctors told us that the brain was already damaged. That's when we thought of keeping him alive through organ donation and so we took the decision of donating his kidney and liver, which helped three lives,” said his daughter Dr Bhagyashree Sampat.
