BMC launches mobile app ‘Monsoon Related Disease’ to create awareness

To tackle monsoon-related diseases, the BMC has launched a new mobile app named ‘Monsoon Related Diseases’ which will provide all the information related to dengue, malaria and other diseases related to monsoon.

This app is expected to help the users to be aware of the symptoms, precautions and other medical information regarding the subject. Further, users will also be able to refer to the details related to civic health centers, clinics, and hospitals. This app was launched by Dr. Avinash Supe, the dean of the G.S. Medical College and a renowned medical professional.

'Monsoon Related Diseases' app has been built with the help of community health center based at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital, Sion and Thakur Institute of Management Studies in Kandivali.

One can get information about dengue, malaria, swine-flu, lepto, chicken guinea on the internet but once cannot confirm the authenticity of the information. We believe this app will provide the right information related to the diseases and also talk the prevention,” says Dr Seema Bansode, Professor.

The app is available for Android devices and can be downloaded from Google Play store.
