Borivali- Mumbaikars will get to buy medicines at lower cost at Borivali's Jan Aushdhalay. These medicines are none other than generic medicines which are available at lower cost in comparison to other branded medicines. These medicines are available for all types of life-threatening diseases.
In the last two years, Mumbai has got two generic stores one of the stores is in Borivali, while Navi Mumbai has got one and Thane has two generic stores.
In coming months, 3000 generic stores will be launched in India. These stores will be placed in the vicinity of 5 kms each. The Central government will be providing Rs. 2.5 lakhs subsidy for the same. Statewide there are 53 such generic stores.
