Maharashtra recorded 7,975 cases of coronavirus on July 15, 2020, taking the total tally of the number of cases in the state to 2,75,640. 3,606 patients were discharged taking the total number of cured patients to 1,52,613. The total number of active cases in the state is 1,11,801. 233 deaths were recorded in one day.
The recovery rate in Maharashtra is at 55.37 per cent. The case fatality rate is at 3.96 per cent. The authorities have tested 14,08,901 samples for tests to date. More than 7 lakh people are in-home quarantine and 43,315 people are in institutional quarantine. Maharashtra is one of the most affected states due to coronavirus. The total number of cases in India has surpassed the 9 lakh mark with more than 20 thousand deaths.
