Mumbai - The Pharmacy Council of India has rejected the proposal for recognising non-pharmacists as pharmacists after a certain period of training. Pharmacists across India have welcomed the council’s move. The All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists had sent the proposal to the central health ministry which forwarded the same to the council. Citing shortcomings in the proposal, the council rejected the proposal, says the Maharashtra Registered Pharmacists Association.
