In Mumbai on a daily basis, three people are diagnosed with dengue while nearly 37 suspected dengue patients being registered at civic-run hospitals. The information was provided by Right to Information (RTI) activist Anil Galgali when he sought a reply from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on the status of dengue. 
  
As per RTI report, in the last 35 months, 38 Mumbaikars have lost their lives to dengue.

As per the civic-run hospital’s data, every three patient out of 37 suspected patients, have been diagnosed with dengue. Galgali believed that the BMC's health department should carry out an awareness programme to bring down the casualties.
