490 animals and birds fall prey to soaring temperature

Day by day as the temperature is soaring, many birds and animals are falling ill due to dehydration and are being taken care by Parel’s BSPCA hospital. As per the statistics, from January until this month, 941 animals and birds have undergone treatment and 490 are undergoing treatment, said J C Khanna, director, BSPCA. This includes 542 pigeons, 51 birds, 56 bulbul, 220 kites and 72 owls who are undergoing treatment. Apart from this other animals and birds such as parrot, rabbit, dogs, cows, horses are also going under treatment.  

As compared to last summer, this year's heat is unbearable. And so Mumbai Live urges readers to keep water for the birds. Along with this, keep water cans is possible on street for stray dogs.
