On Monday, August 16, 4,145 patients were detected with the coronavirus across Maharashtra whereas 5,811 patients recovered from COVID-19.
Moreover, at least 100 people reportedly succumbed to the disease. So far, a total of 61,95,744 COVID-19 patients have recovered and gone home across the state. As a result, the recovery rate in the state is 96.86 per cent. Moreover, the total number of coronavirus patients in the state now stands at 63,96,805 whereas a total of 135,139 COVID-19 patients have died in the state to date. At present, the death rate in the state is 2.11 per cent.
