Furthermore, On Wednesday, March 17, the state recorded a total of 23,179 new patients, and on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, a total of 17,864 patients were found. Officials, on Monday, March 15, 2021, recorded a total of 15,051 new coronavirus patients.

In the last 15 days, the number of coronavirus patients in 70 districts across 16 states of the country has increased by 150 per cent.

The lowest number of new cases was detected in the country on February 9, 2021, and now, the cases are growing by over 43 per cent every week. Observing this increasing number of patients, State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that citizens should avoid forming unnecessary crowds and stepping out of the house if not necessary. While lockdown is not an option at the moment, restrictions will be tightened.

People of the state should cooperate by abiding to the rules and should not flout the same. Maintaining distance, using masks and frequently washing hands is suggested as it can limit the number of patients and control the spread of the virus too.
