Dahi Handi festival is in news but for wrong reasons. While govinda’s are upset about the 20 feet limit, politicos are trying to en-cash this golden opportunity to excel in the upcoming BMC elections. Not wasting a single moment, some of the political parties jumped in, with their sensational statements. MNS president Raj Thackeray, in his usual aggressive form, attacked the decision, addressing Marathi manoos to surpass SC verdict. Whereas, Shivsena president Uddhav Thackeray, played hindutatva card, mentioning why only hindu’s are targeted and are asked to adjust.
As Dahi handi festival is celebrated in every nook and corner of Mumbai, there are chances that some of Govinda groups will not follow the SC verdict. Considering this point, political parties, esp. opposition party, will keep a hawk eye on CM Devendra Fadnavis, to see what action he will take and will he do any justice to the SC verdict.
