Maharashtra Public Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said that everyone needs to be careful in the battle against the coronavirus. "We should be careful to not get infected by the coronavirus rather than recovering from it after contracting," he said while pointing out that the ‘My family, my responsibility’ campaign was important in order to effectively control the coronavirus outbreak. 

Tope was speaking at the ‘My family, my responsibility’ event at Yutika society in Baner, Pune. Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Director of Health Dr. Archana Patil, District Surgeon Ashok Nandapurkar, Additional Commissioner Dr. Kunal Khemnar along with senior officers were present during the programme. 

While speaking at the event, the minister said that the ‘my family, my responsibility’ campaign will help in the pre-diagnosis of the coronavirus which will eventually help in reducing the number of deaths. Tope also appealed the citizens to extend their full cooperation to the volunteers who come to their homes for inspection and information. 

Stating that self-discipline is important to prevent the contraction of the coronavirus, Tope said that everyone should take care to maintain immunity. “If self-discipline is followed, we can prevent corona. Everyone should take proper measures to maintain good immunity. Everyone needs to take care of their own health as well as the people around them.” 

Regional Medical Officer Dr. Ganesh Damale informed about the ongoing activities in the area under the 'My Family My Responsibility' campaign. Pratima Yevlekar of Yutika Society informed about the activities undertaken by the society. Chief officers of various agencies were present on this occasion.
