Mumbai: Alarming health statistics! 26 people die of heart attack everyday

It is reported that 26 people die of heart attacks in Mumbai every day. 25 people die of cancer every day in Mumbai. This information has been revealed in the 2022 Right to Information.

Which disease caused how many deaths in 2022? Information in this regard was sought through RTI i.e. Right to Information. It was seen that the number of deaths due to COVID-19 is decreasing. But the information came out that 26 Mumbaikars have lost their lives every day due to heart attack. 10,289 deaths occurred in Mumbai in the year 2020 due to covid. In 2021, there were 11,105 deaths, while in 2022, this number had reduced to 1891 deaths.

Many deaths due to TB in the year 2022

Information has also come to light that most of the deaths in Mumbai are due to TB i.e. Tuberculosis. In 2022, 3,281 patients affected by tuberculosis passed away. In 2018, this number was 4,940.

Mumbaikar Chetan Kothari had filed an RTI about the number of deaths due to diseases in Mumbai. This information was sought from the Health Department of Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Among them, the most deaths due to heart attack have come to light in the year 2022, as reported by the Times of India.
