In St. George's Hospital, 40 beds have been kept reserved for the general ward and 10 beds for the intensive care unit

Due to the increasing number of patients infected with coronavirus, the facilities of all the hospitals in the state were reviewed on Monday. At present, 50 beds are reserved for patients affected by the coronavirus in St. George's Hospital in Mumbai, and considering the possibility of a large increase in the number of patients, it has been decided to increase the number of reserved beds in this hospital to 250.


In view of the increasing number of patients infected with Corona, currently 50 beds have been reserved in St. George's Hospital. In this, 40 beds have been kept reserved for the general ward and 10 beds for the intensive care unit. Currently, only five corona patients are admitted in the hospital. None of the patients are in critical condition. However, considering the rise in the number of corona infected patients, the hospital administration has become vigilant. 

The hospital has planned to keep 250 beds in reserve to provide better treatment to the patients. If these beds get full, then the entire hospital will be reserved for Corona, said J. J. Hospital founder Dr. Pallavi Saple.

Along with St. George's, GT Hospital is also set for COVID-19

Beds have been kept ready in case of outburst of patients in St George's. However, if the number of corona patients’ increases, then according to the instructions of the state government, more beds will be set up in GT hospital.
