As the environment in Mumbai is deteriorating for some days, it is seen affecting the health of the citizens. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has also announced guidelines due to the deterioration of the air quality due to dust, dust particles and smog. But due to the deteriorating environment, Mumbaikars are suffering from cold and sore throat. From children to adults, it has been observed that everyone is suffering from this problem.


Climate change is adversely affecting the air quality of Mumbai including the Mumbai region. As a result, air pollution is increasing. Increasing pollution is affecting the health of citizens. Due to this, citizens are suffering from cold and sore throat in Mumbai. There has been an increase of 30 to 40 percent in the number of patients suffering from sore throat and cold in BMC run ENT hospitals.

The medical superintendent of the hospital said that this increase has occurred in the last 20 to 25 days, said Dr Deepika Rana. Similarly, JJ hospital has also seen an increase in the number of patients suffering from cold and sore throat in the last 10 to 15 days. The team leader of the Department of General Medicine in the JJ hospital Dr. Madhukar Gaikwad said that the number of patients with cold and sore throat has increased by 20 to 25 percent.
