Based on the data released by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), in the Greater Mumbai area on November 12, 262 new COVID-19 cases were reported. The aggregate number of patients who had tested positive, recovered and were thus discharged stood at 217. 

With this, the total number of active progressive patients is 2906. One male patient who suffered from co-morbidities lost his life to the virus. According to the data, he was between 40-60 years of age. On the other hand, 33834, total tests were done.

The recovery rate of the island city stands at 97 per cent, with the overall growth rate of COVID-19 cases in Mumbai between November 5-11 being 0.03 per cent. Similarly, the doubling rate of the city is 2136 days. 

On a positive note, there are no active containment zones in the city according to the containment measures taken on November 11. There are, however, 15 active sealed buildings in the area. The high-risk contact tracing undertaken in the last 24 hours stood at 1,920.

On the vaccination front, reports claim that the city is 15,000 jabs shy of partly vaccinating its population. Officials from the BMC are hopeful of attaining the 100 per cent first jab mark by Friday.
