The Government of India has commenced a WhatsApp service for people to download their coronavirus vaccination certificate, amongst others. After one receives a vaccination, a certificate is made which is required for many things.

In many places, it has become necessary to show the vaccination certificate. For instance, if you are travelling somewhere either a vaccination certificate or a negative RT-PCR report is needed. Earlier, one could download the certificate from the CoWIN portal or the Aarogya Setu app. Now, it is also made available on WhatsApp.

But the question in many minds now is, how to go about the process. The steps to download the certificate through WhatsApp includes:

• The Central Government launched MyGov Corona Helpdesk WhatsApp Chatbox to assist the people. Using the said chatbox one can download the COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate.
• Save the MyGov Corona Helpdesk WhatsApp Number: +91 9013151515 on your mobile.
• Now open the chat window by going to WhatsApp and type “covid certificate” and send the message
• An OTP will then be sent to your registered mobile number
• Enter the OTP received on the mobile number in the WhatsApp chatbox
• Select the certificate you want to download
• Post this, your COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate will appear in the chatbox
• You can then download your certificate and take its printout
