More than 90 patients in the morning session and more than 40 patients in the night session are being served by each clinic in the urban area clinics of the municipality. In Kharghar, more than hundred patients are receiving medical care from the municipality's hospital in the night session. Medical treatment, consultation and medicines are provided free of charge in this clinic after paying INR for a case paper by the concerned patient. Blood and urine tests are also free. This has made the municipal clinics a medical base for the residents. The number of patients in private hospitals is decreasing as the municipality started night clinics keeping in mind the convenience of the citizens.

“The municipality has appealed to the citizens to boil and filter drinking water in urban and rural areas. Citizens should consult a doctor in the nearest municipal clinic for cold cough and fever and other diseases. All medical services are provided in this clinic after paying INR 10 for a case paper. Blood sugar level and other tests can be done on the advice of the doctor at the clinic”, said Dr. Anand Gosavi, Chief Medical Health Officer, Panvel Municipality.
