Pune-based 'MyLab' launches India's fastest Coronavirus (COVID19) testing kits

This Indian molecular diagnostic company has achieved this milestone & it is said that the testing for COVID19 (coronavirus) currently takes nearly four hours and the procedure performed by MyLab takes only 2.5 hours. The kits will be priced at Rs. 1200

An Indian company named 'MyLab' has launched the fastest coronavirus testing kits in India and this seems to be a milestone move in the current COVID19 scare the entire country is dealing with. An official from MyLab took to Twitter to announce the same with a message that read, "Proud to announce "MyLabs" India's first and only company to launch fastest Corona testing kits. Thanks to Mr Pardeshi - Municipal commissioner @mybmc@MCGM_BMC Dr Pawar - Kasturba hospitals and Special thanks to Dr Shashtri for evaluating kits in record-breaking time.

Pune-based company becomes the first company in India to have achieved this milestone. As per reports, the testing currently takes nearly for hours and the procedure performed by MyLab takes only 2.5 hours. The Medical Director of MyLab, Dr Gautam Wankhde, confirmed the same with Economic Times and stated that the using the kits, a large lab can around 1000 samples and the smaller labs can study around 200 from smaller labs. The price of the kits would be around INR 1200.

The procedure has been validated National Institute of Virology and with this Mylab also becomes the first Indian company to have received the validation. The team has called this Covid-19 diagnostic test kits as the Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests which has been checked by the Drug Controller of India.

The official handle of BMC also shared the news with a message, "Early detection will take us a long way in leaving Coronavirus behind.  Congratulations, MyLab Discovery Solutions, Pune for this breakthrough in the fight against Coronavirus. #NaToCorona"

Aaditya Thackeray appreciated the efforts and said, "This is huge. I remember all of us hoping we find a way with these tests when we first heard of this, to putting this through tests and samples."
