Coronavirus cases across Maharashtra have raised concerns for the government and the citizens and observing the same, strict guidelines have been imposed to curb the spread. The number of coronavirus cases in Pune has crossed 50,000 and the city is observing a curfew following the outbreak. Vaccination is also being promoted across the city.

However, amidst the same, Pune's Kothrud based Dr. Sanjay Phadke has claimed to have discovered Ayurvedic medicine on Coronavirus, and has stated that this drug is 100 percent effective for infection. He stated that this medication is special and he has been giving this to the patients who visit him, and they have now recovered. He has also contacted the Ministry of AYUSH regarding this drug and requested to take notice of this drug.

Talking about the same, he said, "I have given this drug to more than 100 coronavirus patients so far who are now free from the viral infection. In fact, the drug has been given to a 78-year-old patient and a one year old child, who have had no complaints."

Dr. Phadke has been pursuing the matter with the Union Ministry of AYUSH since last year to get the drug approved, but the Centre has not taken notice of  the same yet.

According to Phadke, this medicine is Ayurvedic and does not have any side effects. Therefore, if the government approves this drug, it will help reduce the number of coronavirus patients and mortality.
