Three untrained doctors caught treating patients at a COVID facility in Thane

Complaints regarding the three doctors was made at Thane's Global Hospital and it is said that out of the three, two haven't completed their internships and one is still a student. TMC is looking into the matter and actions will be taken soon

Thane Municipal Corporation, over the last few days, has received a report regarding a COVID hospital not taking the right measures and risking the lives of several patients. As per the complaints received, three doctors with partial education were working at the Thane's Global Hospital located in Balkum, and the news about their qualification has raised concerns as several people have spoken about worries regarding the lives of many patients treated by them.

Addressing the concern, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has demanded that criminal charges be filed against these bogus doctors. This COVID19 facility was set up by the TMC with a capacity of 1100 beds. It is being used for the treatment of coronavirus patients, however, reports stated that out of the three doctors, two have not been able to complete their internships and one is still a student. These three bogus doctors have been caught by the municipal officials and a report has been prepared for their actions. It has been sent to the municipal commissioner for review.

Adding his thought, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Malvi, said "We are investigating the matter and more information regarding the same will be announced soon. NCP leader Najeeb Mulla has stated that the incident is shocking as it is related to patients' life. Officials need to take  actions regarding the same, and if the doctors are found guilty in the probe, criminal charges should be filed against him.

The work of appointing doctors in this hospital was given to a contractor and it is said that these bogus doctors were recruited from him.
