Mumbai - The PMLA court in the city has held JJ Hospital Dean Dr Tatyarao Lahane for giving a VIP treatment to the NCP leader and former deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal in the Bombay Hospital. The court has also found that Dr Lahane guilty of contempt of court. The said court has diverted the judgment to the High Court in this connection.
Bhujbal was shifted to the Bombay Hospital from the JJ Hospital after complaining of pain in the chest. He was to be treated at the JJ Hospital but the concerned authorities took a decision to shift him to Bombay Hospital. Social worker Anjali Damania had alleged that Bhujbal was given a VIP treatment on the recommendation of Dr Lahane.
