Cyclone 'Jawad' : These trains to/from Mumbai cancelled

Owing to the Cyclone Jawad, East Coast Railways (ECoR) have decided to cancel following trains to/from Mumbai on December 3. Besides, the railways have also decided to cancel a total of 95 trains in view of the impending cyclone ‘JAWAD’ threat.

Owing to the Cyclone Jawad, East Coast Railways (ECoR) have decided to cancel following trains to/from Mumbai on December 3.

As per Central Railways, these train services have been cancelled in Mumbai:

1. 11020 Bhubaneshwar-Mumbai Konark Express JCO 3.12.2021

2. 11019 Mumbai-Bhubaneshwar Konark Express JCO 3.12.2021.

Besides, the railways have also decided to cancel a total of 95 trains in view of the impending cyclone ‘JAWAD’ threat.

As per the forecasting of India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Cyclone ‘Jawad’ will reach Odisha on December 3 and December 4. Therefore, as a precautionary measure and safety of passengers, 95 Mail, Express Trains have been cancelled for December 3 and 4, 2021, said the East Coast Railway.

Passengers are requested to kindly note and bear with the inconvenience due to this.

Moreover, due to this cyclone, Mumbai has been witnessing unseasonal rains for the past 2 days. The weather department has predicted light to moderate showers for Mumbai today, December 3. In addition, thunderstorms at isolated places in Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg districts. Light to moderate in sparse places in Ahmednagar, Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Solapur, Aurangabad, Beed and Osmanabad districts. It is likely to rain in some parts of Vidarbha too.

Besides, moderate rains lashed most parts of the entire Konkan, Central Maharashtra and Marathwada on Wednesday as a low pressure belt formed between the south eastern Arabian Sea and the nearby Lakshadweep archipelago to the north coast.
