Dilapidated MHADA buildings

SHARES

Cracks on the beams, cracks on the walls, leakages in drain pipes and the water tank. This is the dilapidated condition of Pratikshanagar's Chaitanya society built by MHADA. The residents got this newly constructed building 3 years ago and now look at the condition of the building. The flats in this building were alloted via lottery in 2011 and the residents got these flats in 2013. The problems began the day these flat owners took possession. The biggest problem faced by the flat owners is the compound wall as this is incomplete.

The flat owners have been following up with MHADA to complete the boundary wall since they took possession of the flats, but the wait continues.  Mumbai live spoke to the Vice President of MHADA, Mr. Sambhaji Zhende about this matter.

The Developer of these MHADA buildings, B G Shirke and company have been under the scanner for their low-quality construction and irregularities, but no one seems to be concerned about it. The low-cost housing of MHADA certainly has not provided good quality homes as these home owners curse their luck and MHADA for poor quality homes.
