According to the latest reports, the first batch of the four coaches of the prototype train for the Colaba-Bandra-Seepz underground Mumbai Metro 3 corridor arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday, August 2.

Based on accounts, the four trailers carrying one coach each reached Mumbai after travelling 1,400 km in 13 days from SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. 

It is anticipated that the next batch of the four coaches will arrive in the city soon. The four coaches that arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday weighed 42 tonnes each and were brought by special 8 axel trailers with 64 wheels, narratives mentioned.

Reports suggest that the eight coaches need to be assembled and the train will be made at the temporary facility of train delivery and testing track area at Mumbai's Sariput Nagar. Further, the initial design and pricing trail runs of the prototype train will be done in the 3 km stretch of the MML-3 tunnel from the temporary facility to Marol Naka Metro station.

Ashwini Bhide MD of Mumbai Metro Corporation took to Twitter on Tuesday to say, "Much awaited train of Mumbai Metro 3 aqua line has landed in Mumbai. First 4 coaches reached the unloading facility. Remaining 4 coaches will be here in a couple of days. Both the site and our team are in readiness to assemble the train and start the trials."

The Mumbai Metro 3 also took to Twitter to share that the first four Coaches of the first Metro 3 train arrived in Mumbai. With this, the next batch of four will arrive soon.
