An international central theme park will be developed at Mahalakshmi Race Course. However, a petition was filed against this in Bombay High Court. The state government had claimed in the High Court on Wednesday that no final decision has been taken regarding this theme park. So, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has clarified that the International Central Theme Park will be held at this place in the dialogue held on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of Dainik Loksatta.

What will happen at Mumbai Race Course? This question was asked to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Answering this question, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, the government intends to build a very big international central park for Mumbaikars at Mumbai Race Course. The race course will also remain. But where can you find such a big garden in Mumbai? We have asked them for 120 acres of land. A world-class central park will be developed on 320 acres of land including 200 acres of reclaimed coastal road land and 120 acres of race course land. It will be an oxygen hub of sorts. We want Mumbai to be number one not only in the country but also in the world. So Central Park should be a boon for people.

“We are making sure that the work does not get stuck in red tape. So we started a single window scheme. Many people have to suffer directly or indirectly the consequences of global events like the Ukraine-Russia war. But all these things are planned keeping in mind. The Prime Minister has left the resolution to make the economy of the country 5 trillion dollars. The people of Niti Aayog said that there is a lot of potential in Mumbai-MMR. It is said that the attention of 1 trillion can be completed in this area. We are working in that regard", said Eknath Shinde.

“Mumbai is an international city. After becoming the chief minister, the first thing I did was I called the municipal commissioner. Told him that this city should be pothole free. What's wrong with that? The first decision we took was to concretize the roads. First phase completed. The work of the second phase is starting.  In the next two and a half years, Mumbai will be completely pothole free. These projects will give MMR a makeover. A new centre of economic development will emerge", Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also assured today.
