The inflow of investment in the state continues and on Thursday, September 11, MoUs were signed with five companies for an investment of INR 1 lakh crore for setting up information technology, food processing industries, warehouses, data centers and logistics hub projects at various locations. 47,000 jobs will be created through these projects.
Interestingly, out of the lakhs of crores of investment that has come to the state in the last eight months, the Industries Department has issued approval letters for the construction of projects worth INR 5 lakh crore after the process.
The MoU was signed at the Sahyadri Guest House in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashwini Bhide, Secretary of the Industries Department P. Anbalagan, CEO of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) P. Velrasu, Joint Secretary of the Industries Department Shrikant Pulkundwar, along with heads and representatives of various industrial groups were present.
On this occasion, on behalf of the State Government, Secretary of the Industries Department, P. Anbalagan, exchanged Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Amarprakash Agrawal, Chairman of MGSA Realty; Abhishek Lodha, Managing Director of Lodha Developers Limited for the establishment of an Integrated Data Center Park; Ketan Modi, Executive Director of Reliance Consumer Products Limited; Ajit Barodia, President of Adani Enterprises Limited; and Pranay Kothari, Chief Operating Officer of Polyplex Corporation Limited.
MGSA Realty is investing INR 5,000 crore in various locations in Maharashtra to set up industrial warehouses, data centers, and logistics hubs, which will create 10,000 jobs.
Lodha Developers Limited is investing INR 30,000 crore to set up a 'Green Integrated Data Center Park' at Ambernath in Thane district, and this data center park will provide employment to six thousand youth.
