Metro-5 and 6 projects get a green light after a cabinet meeting

What's the story?

The Metro-5 project (Thane-Kalyan-Bhiwandi) has been given a green light after a cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Along with Metro-5, Metro-6 project (Lokhandwala-Jogeshwari-Vikhroli- Kanjurmarg) has been given a go-ahead in the same meeting.

A tender will soon be drawn after the sanction according to a Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) official.

Metro-2A, 3, 7 under construction 

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has taken up the Metro project to develop state-of-the-art infrastructure in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Currently, Metro-2A, 3 and 7 are under development.
