MMRDA invites bids for Metro projects

Mumbai - The actual work of the Metro-2B and Metro-4 lines, the bhoomipujan of which was recently performed by prime minister Narendra Modi, will be taken up soon. The MMRDA issued tenders for these Metro lines on Wednesday. It will take around 6 months to award the contracts and it means the work will be started after the monsoon season. The work of Metro-2B and Metro-4 line will be taken up in five phases and the estimated cost of these tenders is Rs 14,549 crore. Along with Metro works, the MMRDA has also invited tenders for various works of the Central Railway and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. The estimated cost of this work is Rs 10,986 crore.
